A limited edition Max Pack with extra content was released exclusively to Virgin Megastores in November 1997. It contained the Uncut edition of Carmageddon and Carmageddon Splat Pack in a new combined package. The Splat Pack adds new characters with their own vehicles, but also gives new vehicles to some existing drivers (an example being Stig O'Sore). But you can often kill an opponent just by driving over them. The only bad thing about it is it's slow, so you won't be winning races with it. It's very heavy for high damage and handles well with decent traction. Initially only the player's starter car is available (The Eagle or The Hawk), and new vehicles. The screen generally displays an image of the vehicle, the name of the vehicle, and the portrait & name of the original owner.
